“Everyone, enjoy the water”, to educate on prevention: experience report

“Everyone, enjoy the water” is a co-managed project that aims to democratize access to aquatic facilities and to educate children and adolescents about aquatic safety skills and knowledge for accidents’ prevention. This school of aquatic activities for prevention is developed in Montevideo, Uruguay. Its implementation strategy lies on a network that integrates both governmental organizations and local groups: parents, schools, sports clubs, the city´s Secretary of Sports, Lifeguard Service, and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. Due to its degree of specificity, a constant program evaluation is required with the purpose of promoting richer and more meaningful experiences in pursuit of the expected results.References
