Abstract

This article presents a descriptive panorama of the evolution of the Instituto Universitario upon the completion of its first decade of existence. The process by which its creation was decided is analyzed, as well as the body of aspirations which were originally intended. It evaluates the degree to which these goals were fulfilled and the objectives still to be undertaken, ending with a thoughtful approach to the eventual conception of a particular academic identity.
