Validez concurrente del cuestionario mundial sobre actividad física (GPAQ) en Argentina: un estudio piloto

Resumen

Se estudió la validez concurrente de GPAQ en una muestra piloto de seis sujetos adultos argentinos. Se compararon los resultados de GPAQ con la técnica de frecuencia cardíaca con calibración individual. Se encontró un pobre acuerdo entre ambas técnicas en la variable tiempo de actividad física moderada a vigorosa y una alta correlación entre GPAQ y el gasto energético por actividad física moderada a vigorosa. Se concluye que GPAQ presenta una elevada validez concurrente con el monitoreo de frecuencia cardíaca sólo en cuanto al gasto energético por actividad física moderada a vigorosa. Esto debe asumirse como provisorio hasta ponerse a prueba con muestras más grandes y diversas.
